The Western Reserve Varsity Volleyball Team will play their first Tournament game on Thursday 10/16 at 7:30pm.
The Lady Riders will play Edison HS at Willard High School.

Wakeman’s Caring Community organization is hosting its annual Meatloaf Dinner, Bake Sale, and 50/50 Raffle event on
Sunday, October 26,
from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM
at St. Mary’s Hall in Wakeman.
The meal includes meatloaf, mashed potatoes, gravy, a vegetable, roll, and dessert for $17 per person.
Proceeds will support the Caring Community’s monthly food pantry and emergency assistance programs for local residents.

Our annual Back to School Celebration on August 21, 2025, is always heavily attended by parents and staff and serves several important purposes—from connecting families and staff to building excitement for the year ahead. Below is Ticket and Pass Purchasing information for Western Reserve Athletic Events
Ticket pricing info
Varsity events (including events with jv games or 9th/JV/Varsity events)
$8 adult
$6 student and senior citizens
Lower level events (9th grade (only events), MS games)
$5 adult
$3 student
Students can purchase Fireland's Confernce presale tickets for $4/ea (can be used at all home games and all away Firelands’s Conference games) These can be purchased in the HS office during school hours.
Passes can be purchased (contact the HS office)
$60-10 event pass (use at home events)
$60-senior citizen pass (all home events)
$300-family pass (immediate family in home)

There is a Special Board meeting on Friday, August 8th
at 7:00am in the Board of Education.

We’re excited to announce that the Lady Rider 5th & 6th Grade Volleyball League Schedule has officially been released!
📅 Parent Meeting & First Practice
Date: Thursday, August 7th
Time: 7:00–8:30 PM
Location: Western Reserve High School Gym
While the girls enjoy their first practice, parents are invited to attend a meeting where you will:

✔️ Get the practice and game schedules
✔️ Meet your daughter’s coaches
✔️ Learn more about the upcoming season
🎒 Please remember: Have your daughters bring their volleyball gear so they can jump right into the fun on the court!

Preschool and elementary supply lists:



If your son or daughter is taking High School Spanish next year, they will need the following items for class. Please provide these supplies for the second day of school:
*A 2" Binder with a clear front pocket for a cover page dedicated to Spanish clas only
*250 sheets of college ruled looseleaf paper
* Set of 5 binder dividers with tabs
* 250 unruled Index cards
*1 Composition book (the notebook one cannot easily tear pages from)
* Package of dry erase markers
*Strong, heavy pocket folder, hole punched for the binder
6th graders enrolled in one semester Spanish need a 1" binder with a clear front pocket for a cover page, 100 sheets of looseleaf, dividers and a heavy duty, hole punched folder, along with 100 unruled notecards.
