Here are some pictures of the Civilization of Earth build the middle school STEM students are working on this week. Machines must do a variety of tasks such as pump water, cut wood, grind grain, travel over rough terrain, collect solar data from around a corner, and move equipment not only horizontally, but also vertically. Last Friday, students in Mrs. Mary Ana Hick's high school choir class were notified that Mrs. Deb Henry will be adding middle and high school choirs to her elementary responsibilities in the fall. In addition, Mrs. Hicks will be working with elementary, middle, and band students next year. Dividing the district's music responsibilities along vocal (Mrs. Henry) and instrumental (Mrs. Hicks) lines will enable each teacher to focus more deeply on her craft. Mrs. Henry is "looking forward to the new challenge!" Mrs. Hicks said, "I am excited to be able to team up with Mrs. Henry to create more opportunities for students in the Music Department at Western Reserve. Together, I know we will be able to accomplish great things!" We are WR!
