The 7th grade Academic Challenge Team competed and represented our community at the Huron County 7th grade contest in Norwalk at the Milestone Event Center on October 25.
This group made major strides improving from last year's competition with answering questions and working as a team during the round.
These young Rough Riders hung around with the stiff competition and finished a respectful 4th place, missing the third place trophy by 5 points.
Since the first week of school these students committed their Thursday enrichment periods and after school weekly practices preparing for the contest..
With their 8th grade year competition up next for this team, the motto of "In It to Win It" will be emphasized through the next months to show growth and improve their team answering strategies.Congrats to this group on a tremendous showing and achievement representing WR!Please congratulate and give a scholarly pat on the back to the following students:Brooklynn Blanton
