The 6th grade Academic Challenge Team tremendously represented our community at the Huron County 6th grade contest in Norwalk at the Milestone Event Center on October 24 .
This group narrowly missed capturing the third place trophy, finishing only 3 questions behind the third place team. The competition was close and came down to the final round with four teams vying for the honors of the top 3 spots.
This was their first competition and the students performed admirably working as a team discussing and answering questions during the competition.
Since the first week of school these students committed their Thursday enrichment periods and after school practices weekly preparing for the contest..
The future looks bright for years to come with their enthusiasm and work ethic preparing for today. The motto of "In It to Win It" will be the message moving forward for this group as they prepare to compete in future Huron County contests.
Congrats to this group on a tremendous showing and achievement representing WR today!
