WR preschoolers LOVE sensory play. Last week, Room 102 searched for valentine objects hidden in the sensory table. Cleveland Clinic states that sensory play helps children develop language and motor skills. It also helps foster social interactions, encourages experimentation and increases cognitive skills.

According to The American Academy of Pediatrics, play is fundamentally important for learning 21st century skills, such as problem solving, collaboration and creativity. Play is not frivolous, it is brain building. Today's preschool play included a 'fancy birthday party' and the creation of a 'security house' complete with traps. We are WR!
