PAYMENT SCHEDULE

 

Initial Deposit                $100.00                 DUE:  November 18, 2009

 

2nd Payment                    $100.00                 DUE:  February 3, 2010

 

3rd Payment                    $100.00                 DUE:  March 10, 2010

 

Final Payment                $130.00                 DUE:  April 14, 2010

 

Each student traveling to Washington D.C. is responsible for the $100 Initial Deposit.  Fundraiser monies will be deducted and reflected in the balance due for the 2nd payment.  Make checks payable to Western Reserve Middle School and give to Ms. Amy Cull.  Payments should be in a sealed envelope with student’s name written clearly on the front.

WESTERN RESERVE MIDDLE SCHOOL

PROUDLY PRESENTS WASHINGTON D.C

MAY 19 – 21, 2010

 

Wednesday, May 19:

6:00 AM       Students report to school.

 

6:30 AM       Depart school reroute to Gettysburg, rest and meal stops will be made every

                     2-3 hours. (Glacier Hills MM238) Lunch reroute is included (Bedford

                     MM141; $7; McDonald’s & Wendy’s)

 

2:40 PM       Arrive Gettysburg for a guided tour of the battlefields (2:45 PM – 4:45 PM)

 

4:50 PM       Depart Gettysburg for Frederick, Maryland where we enjoy dinner at

                     Golden Corral. (included – 5:30 PM)

 

7:25 PM       Arrive in Washington for a brief evening tour of the monuments, including

                     the FDR and Jefferson Memorials.

 

9:00 PM       Check into our hotel for a two-night stay.

Thursday, May 20

6:45 AM       Group wake-up call.
 

7:15 AM       Breakfast at hotel (included).
 

8:15 AM       Depart the hotel for a drive thru Embassy Row and have a guided tour of the

National Cathedral (requested at 9:30 am). Next will be a group photo at the

Capital Building (10:45 am) followed by a visit to the Capital Visitor

                     Center.
 

1:00 PM       Lunch at Reagan Food Court (included). This afternoon we visit the

Holocaust Museum for Daniel’s Story followed by the Smithsonian’s

including Air and Space, Natural and American History Museums.  Later

this afternoon we visit the WWII, Vietnam, Lincoln and Korean Memorials;

before we end our day with a stop at Lafayette Park for a photo opportunity

at the White House (time for souvenir shopping will be made).
 

7:00 PM       Board the Odyssey for a student moonlight dinner cruise.
 

10:45 PM     Return to the hotel.

Friday, May 21

6:30 AM       Group wake-up call.
 

7:00 AM       Breakfast at the hotel (included).
 

8:00 AM       Depart the hotel for a visit to Arlington Cemetery and the Tomb of the

Unknown Soldier, Changing of the Guard Ceremony and the Kennedy

Gravesites.  Next we visit the Iwo Jima Memorial.
 

11:15 AM     Lunch at the Pentagon City (included).
 

12:30 PM     Depart Washington for Shanksville; a brief rest stop will me made at the

Midway Plaza MM147.
 

4:30 PM       Arrive in Shanksville for the Flight #93 Memorial; followed by dinner in

Somerset (included; $7 McDonald’s & Wendy’s).
 

6:45 PM       Depart Somerset for home; a rest stop will be made at Mahoning Valley

                     MM238.
 

10:45 PM     Arrive back to school with many fond memories.
