Line up away
from the street or road as the school bus approaches.
Wait until the
bus has stopped and the door opens before stepping onto the
roadway.
When on the bus,
find a seat and sit down.
Use a quiet
speaking voice while riding the bus.
Never put head,
arms or hands out the window.
Keep the aisles
clear of books and backpacks.
At your stop,
wait for the bus to completely stop before getting up from
your seat.
If you have to
cross the street after you exit the bus make sure you can
see the bus driver and the bus driver can see you before you
cross the street. When the bus driver signals, walk across
the road.
Our Safety Patrols help
to provide guidance for our youngsters so that they will be safe
whether riding the bus or getting dropped off by there parents. It also affords the patrols the
opportunity to develop their leadership qualities.
Patrol members help the
children, help when the children are exiting the bus, and remind
the students of the bus rules
