March Board Minutes

The Western Reserve Board of Education met in special session on March 7, 2005, at the Board Office.  The following members responded to roll call:  Mr. Boose, Mr. Todd, Mr. Finnegan, Mrs. Nolan, Brett Robson, Mark Gagyi, and Charlotte Wagner.  Mrs. Fannin participated via teleconference.

Mr. Todd moved, seconded by Mr. Boose, the Board move into executive session to discuss the employment of personnel.

Mr. Boose-yes, Mr. Todd-yes, Mrs. Nolan-yes, Mr. Finnegan-yes.

Motion Passed.

The Board entered into executive session at 7:00 p.m.

The Board exited executive session at 9:30 p.m.

Mr. Boose moved, seconded by Mr. Todd, the Board adjourn at 9:30 p.m.

Mr. Todd moved, seconded by Mr. Boose, the Board move into executive session to discuss the employment of personnel.

The Board entered into executive session at 7:00 p.m.

The Western Reserve Board of Education met in regular session on March 15, 2005, at 8:00 p.m. in the high school library.  The following members responded to roll call:  Mr. Boose, Mr. Todd, Mr. Finnegan, Mrs. Nolan, Mark Gagyi, Brett Robson.  Mrs. Fannin participated via teleconference.

Mr. Boose moved, seconded by Mrs. Nolan, the Board approve the agenda.

Mrs. Mahoney provided the Board with an update on the EETT grant site visit by ODE.  She also discussed plans for the staff in-service on 4/15/05.

Mrs. Pugh gave the Board an update on testing, restructuring of extended time for the guidance department, summer school physical education program (funded by student fees), the science book textbook adoption plans.  She also informed the Board that an athletic code of conduct is being developed.

Ms. Dilsaver informed the Board that the winter sports programs are completed and spring sports have begun practice.  She is also near completion for scheduling of all fall and winter sports.

Mr. Martz informed the Board that Chris Hipp is hauling dirt from behind the school.  He is looking for others to take the remainder of the pile.
