March Board Minutes
The Western Reserve Board of Education met in special session at 7:00 p.m. on March 14, 2006, in the high school library. The following members responded to roll call: Mrs. Fannin, Mr. Todd, Mrs. Pickett, Mr. Daniels, Mr. Boose, and Treasurer Brett Robson. Also present were Bill Lally and Charlotte Wagner
Mr. Boose moved, seconded by Mr. Todd, the Board enter into executive session to discuss the employment of personnel.
Mr. Boose – yes, Mr. Todd – yes, Mrs. Pickett – yes, Mr. Daniels – yes, Mrs. Fannin – yes.

The Board entered into executive session 7:00 p.m.
The Board returned from executive session at 9:15 p.m.

Mr. Todd moved, seconded by Mrs. Pickett, the Board approve the Resolution accepting the amounts and rates as determined by the Budget Commission.

Mr. Daniels moved, seconded by Mr. Todd, the Board accept the resignation of Rebecca Harlan, for retirement purposes, effective June 30, 2006.

Mr. Daniels moved, seconded by Mrs. Pickett, the Board approve the following non-certified substitute employees: Kelly Schaechterle, substitute bus driver; Linda Butler, bus aide, pending successful completion of all board requirements.

Mr. Boose moved, seconded by Mrs. Pickett, the Board adopt the Wellness Policy as required by law for the Western Reserve Schools. During discussion, Mr. Daniels moved to amend the policy stating no water is to be permitted in the classrooms. The motion to amend failed due to the lack of a second. Roll call was conducted on the original motion.
